Your bedroom photo is sent to be analysed only if you tap to allow it, and only after you subscribe. Nothing else leaves your phone: not your answers, not your name, not your email, not your location — and there is no account to create. We collect anonymous usage events so we can see which parts of the app work. We do not sell anything to anyone, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
When you photograph your bedroom, or pick a photo from your library, that image is stored on your device, inside the app's own storage. Deleting the app removes it.
To score your room, that one image is sent to Google's Gemini API. This happens only after two things are true: you have subscribed, and you have tapped to allow it on a screen that explains exactly this. If you decline, you still get your Sleep Score — it is simply calculated from your twelve answers alone.
If we ever change what is sent or who receives it, this page changes first.
The twelve questions you answer are stored on your device, alongside your Sleep Score, your nightly checklist and the nights you logged. They stay on your phone. They are not sent to us and they are not linked to your identity, because we never learn your identity.
The app records anonymous events about how it is used — for example that a screen was opened, that the quiz was completed, or that a subscription screen was dismissed. We use them to find the places where the app confuses people.
Each event carries: the event name, a timestamp, the app version, the platform, and a random identifier generated on your device the first time you open the app. That identifier is not your Apple ID, not your advertising identifier, and not tied to anything else about you. It disappears when you delete the app.
Some events also carry your Sleep Score — the number out of 100 — because we need to know whether people with a low score behave differently from people with a high one. That number describes a bedroom, not a person. Purchase events additionally carry which plan was bought and what Apple charged for it, so we can tell a weekly subscriber from a yearly one.
These events never contain your photo, your twelve answers, your name, your email address or your location.
Two companies handle them on our behalf, and nobody else:
Neither is allowed to use your data for their own purposes, and neither receives your photo.
If you join the early-access list on this site, we store the email address you type, the date, and a short label saying which link brought you here. We use it once — to tell you when the app is out. Reply to that email asking to be removed and we will delete the address.
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without building a profile of you.
SleepAudit AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Because we hold almost nothing about you, most requests are simple: deleting the app deletes everything stored on your device. For the anonymous usage events, write to us and we will delete the records tied to your installation identifier, which you can find in the app under Me. For your email address on the early-access list, ask and it is removed.
If you are in the EU or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update the date at the top and say what changed. We will not start collecting something new and quietly backdate it.
